Women's Stamped Copper and Leather Bracelet
Love copper? We got you covered! Check out our copper necklaces, rings and earrings. Jodi designed our extensive copper jewelry collection so it can all be mixed and matched.
If you love your copper to age over time, it's simple - leave it exposed to air whether sitting on your nightstand or in your jewelry box. If you want your copper to retain its appearance and not tarnish, store your copper jewelry pieces in a plastic bag that seals well. You can also add a silicone packet in your bag. The silicone absorbs moisture in the air and it is the moisture that oxidizes, or tarnishes, the copper jewelry. Also, the moisture from your skin can cause oxidation while wearing your jewelry which transfers to your skin, turning it green or black. To stop or greatly reduce this from happening, coat the back of the copper jewelry with clear fingernail polish. This will wear off over time and the polish will need to be reapplied.
If you choose to leave your copper jewelry exposed to air and moisture, you can expect it to develop green, dark brown and sometimes blue areas on the jewelry. Personally, I love when copper jewelry oxidizes!
